Save the Manatee Club
2021 was a devastating year for the Florida Manatee. Thousands of acres of seagrass in Florida have died because of nutrient pollution that has caused algae blooms and left manatees without an adequate food source. This has lead to many manatees dying of starvation and malnutrition. More manatees have died this year than in any other year in Florida’s state history. The Save the Manatee Club is doing great work trying to protect manatees and their aquatic habitat for future generations.
